ACCSS to Offer Boot Camp for Students Needing to Show They Are College-Ready
Jul 16, 2026 | Press Releases
The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) is an assessment of college readiness for students enrolling in public institutions of higher education in Texas. This test helps determine a student’s readiness for entry-level college coursework in the areas of English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) and Mathematics. Students may be exempt from taking this assessment if they have met college readiness standards on a standardized test like the SAT or ACT or successfully completed a high school college preparatory course. Students should contact the college they’ll be attending to see if they need to take TSIA2. Additionally, students interested in beginning their dual-credit journey who are still in high school are encouraged to take this exam.
The Alliance for College & Career Student Success (ACCSS) program will be offering a FREE mini-Boot Camp to help students who attend partner high schools to prepare for the TSIA2 test. The workshop will be held on July 21st and 22nd for ELAR and July 23rd for Math at Blinn College – Schulenburg Campus (100 Ranger Dr., Room #121). Sessions are from 10 AM – 12 PM. Then, on Friday, July 24th, those who wish to take one or all sections of the TSIA2 test may do so. Testing fees will be underwritten by ACCSS. A photo ID is required for students to test. Students interested in participating should RSVP to the ACCSS Coordinator of Student Success Initiatives, Sarah Nickel, at
